I attended the November CCNA boot camp through Intense School in Henderson Neveda. Cisco changed the CCNA exam requirements at the end of 2003 - the new exam is much more detailed and difficult
and requires a successful completion of two or three simulations during the exam.
Though Intense School's salesman "pre-qualifed" my experience (MCSE, MCSA), by about the third day of the boot camp, I was feeling pretty lost, but the exhausting,fast pace of the course didn't allow for assimulation time. When Friday afternoon (exam day) rolled around, I was contemplating cancelling my exam and saving the voucher, as I new I would not pass the exam. I went a head with the exam anyway, and failed. That did not suprise me, what did seem rather odd was that out of the 18 or 19 guys in the boot camp, only ONE guy passed the exam ! There were 3 or 4 guys who were taking the boot camp for the second time and still failed ! I don't know if Cisco has set the bar too high, or if Intense School failed in meeting the exam objectives.
