The “Digital Forensics for First Responders Training” (DFFR) seminar was developed to provide an introduction to the exciting and growing field of computer crime investigations and computer forensics. Originally the sole domain of law enforcement computer specialists, this discipline has now become an important capability for all law enforcement, government, corporate IT and security officers.
The Digital Forensics for First Responders Training seminar is presented by a pioneer in the field of computer forensics. As a former federal agent, He preformed many complex digital investigations vital to national security. He was also the creator of the first CD-ROM based computer crime training program for law enforcement first responders in the United States. To date, He has taught both basic and advanced computer forensic investigative techniques to more corporate and law enforcement students than any other independent instructor worldwide.
Digital Forensics for First Responders Training seminar is an eight-hour presentation filled with the latest information concerning the growing need for properly trained computer crime “first responders” and certified computer forensic specialists. Prerequisites:
Students should possess a basic knowledge of how to operate a modern personal computer running the MS Windows® operating system. Additionally, however not a requirement, the student should possess a basic knowledge of how to use e-mail and word-processing software programs. Upon completion of this training seminar, the student will receive the knowledge necessary to properly place a computer or digital device into an evidence custody system.
