Course Description
This two-day course teaches Operationally Critical Threat, Asset, and Vulnerability EvaluationSM (OCTAVEŽ)-licensed transition partners and individual licensees how to conduct OCTAVE training, facilitate an OCTAVE evaluation, and tailor OCTAVE to suit a particular customer or domain. Through lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, attendees learn the concepts underlying the OCTAVE Approach and explore the OCTAVE criteria and OCTAVE-consistent methods.
The course proceeds to a review of OCTAVE Training Workshop materials, an overview of teaching OCTAVE, and OCTAVE evaluation planning and scoping. Finally, the course covers alternative OCTAVE delivery options and provides guidelines for facilitating or delivering an OCTAVE evaluation.
This course builds on information covered in the OCTAVE Training Workshop. To attend this course, participants must have an OCTAVE licensing agreement or OCTAVE transition partner agreement in place.
