This workshop covers current attack methods and trends that enable participants to learn how and why attacks are possible. @stake instructors examine viable targets in various environments, clarify the difference between point and strategic solutions, and demonstrate how to implement sound defensive measures based on known and emerging attack trends. Material covers both established and cutting-edge attacks against hosts, networks, and applications. Hands-on lab exercises provide practical and relevant techniques in real-world environments, with special attention given to strategic defense plans that mitigate multiple point-in-time attacks. In short, participants learn how to forecast potential vulnerabilities and how to effectively prevent attacks with a layered defense strategy.
