Short Description:
The Introduction to RealSecure Workgroup Manager training provides concepts, methods and practices necessary to successfully use each of the RealSecure components.
Full Description:
RealSecure® is a hybrid intrusion detection system that includes new sensor signature updates and new features for Network Sensor 7.0, Server Sensor 6.5, and Workgroup Manager 6.6. RealSecure reduces total cost of ownership by offering full remote upgrade capability enabling customers to easily update and support their large distribution of sensors.
RealSecure Network Sensor 7.0 integrates BlackICE™ and RealSecure detection technology and signatures. Network Sensor 7.0 now supports high-performance packet drivers, full-duplex 100BaseT support as well as gigabit network support. The sensor also supports: advanced event consolidation, RSA 1536-bit encryption, IP event filtering, signatures from the Snort open-source intrusion detection system, dropped packet notification, as well as evidence and full packet logging.
RealSecure Server Sensor 6.5 introduces host intrusion technologies to monitor, analyze, and proactively respond against SSL encrypted application layer intrusions for both Apache and IIS web servers. Server Sensor 6.5 also adds support for SNMP v3 to allow Server Sensor to easily integrate into enterprise infrastructures.
The Introduction to RealSecure Workgroup Manager training provides concepts, methods and practices necessary to successfully use each of the RealSecure components. The course focuses on hands-on exercises supported by demonstrations, presentations, and lecture. Starting with an introduction to the RealSecure architecture and the different components, students will learn the purpose of each component and how they act in concert to monitor and protect a real-world network. Students will learn how to install and configure the various RealSecure components as well as how to manage and monitor sensors in the RealSecure environment. Students will also learn how to configure sensor policies and responses to address the threats specific to their network environment.
